Hi all I had a phone call yesterday from an Indian lady that said to me i had applied for a phone contract with 3. She went through an exhaustive list of what to expect and would run a credit check. I gave my name D.O.B and my address. After she finished talking (I thought she would never shut up). She told me i had passed the credit check .Then proceeded to tell me how much i would be paying a month,how many minutes,texts etc;. Received a call today from 01942538691 which is actually a legitimate number from Brook Farm Cattery in Wigan. Only problem is the people who phoned me were Indian speaking and said they were from UK Benefits, PHYSHING for information in pretense of dong a survey, the information of which they then sell on to other companies and you end up getting bombarded with other unwanted calls.

A foreigner called saying he was from British Gas who handle our Electricity account. Only British Gas doesn't handle our electricity account? I advised him that I suspected he was a scammer. I advised him not to call us again otherwise I would report the number to the Information Commissioners. I then ended the call.
