Indian "gentleman", claims he is from Microsoft. Says my computer is downloading spurious files. I asked him how he knew it was my computer, he said by the machine ID. When I asked what this was he quoted "888DCA....." which is NOT a machine ID, it is a standard Microsoft code related to zip-files, which I told him. The call was terminated immediately...!

This came up as an international number, the guy claimed he was from Talk Talk who I left 5 years ago. I hung up and suggest you do the same.

I missed a lot of calls this number (early morning and very late at night) and it was never leave a message. Why only when it seems to be seemingly important or why you call so to often?

Looked this one up on Internet. Many reports on there saying it is scammers pretending to be Microsoft and want access to your computer. Hang up and block.

This number has called me twice today. I foolishly answered it the first time to find the person at the other end put the phone down after I said hello and I ignored it the second time. Don t want any more calls thanks so added to my rejected list! :-(

Called me and it was just people chatting before hanging up. When i called back, the call was dropped before anyone answered.

Woman could barely speak English, kept saying "Sorry" and wouldn t tell me where she got my number from. Said she would remove me from the "list" but I doubt that will happen. Will report to ICO.
