Not sure, but seemed to want all my ID details to confirm the refund I was to receive in couple of days, and was vague about who was calling, claimed to be some sort of Financial Authority. Number is Manchester area, and with all due respect to friends in Manchester, apart from Blackburn Lancashire, a call centre dialled call from Manchester rings more alarm bells than phone bells.

SCAM wants to verify your device.

Just received a call from this number about online trading. When asked how they got my number, she said online banner ! Strange - I asked her to remove my details - she said that I would need to speak to someone in the company and would not give me the name of the company. Then hung up on me.

My number is ex directory and is an unlisted number. Would like to know how they managed to obtain my telephone number!!!!

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. an ambulance chasing claims handling firm. A call about an RTC I had apparently had. Clearly not from the area that the STD code suggested.

Please don t phone me ever again. If I wanted cheaper gas and electric myself I would investigate it myself. Cold calls effect me so much emotionally and mentally.
