I answered this call and it was from a local O2 upgrades team. They explained they had my information as I had opted in to allow marketing calls from O2 but not 3rd parties. I ve since changed to opt out but did upgrade with them as they were very helpful and offered me a really good deal I couldn t get through my local store. Hope this helps others :-)

Second call from this number. When I phoned 1471 to find out who it was I got the message "This number is not accepting incoming calls at present. Please try again later". Obviously a scam.

Just received a phone call from them asking to verify the second part of the address and then demanded to pay the bill now as we may get charged if we keep delaying it. once I told them that I will pay the bill tomorrow they kept demanding me to pay it now. I told them that it won t make any difference if I pay it today or tomorrow as it s weekend and they will not receive the payment by Monday the earliest anyway and then they hung up without saying anything lol. The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Number appears to be legit but is being abused by fraudsters in connection with Tracy Dunne ([email?protected]), 55 Rural Vale, Gravesend, Kent, DA11 9JL, a possible reshipping mule, and stolen US credit cards. Orders placed using proxy servers. Online retailers beware!

They call from this number twice a day under the guise of different company names - Direct Utilities, Business Utilities, Select Utilities, Regional Utilities. They are clearly dumb, because when requested to remove our details from their records and stop calling, they say OK and then don t do it, despite being told the we only have a mailing box address and therefore have no need for utilities. Go back to school, children!
