Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.

Very aggressive recorded message on my mobile from 02085646318 from a female saying I had criminal proceedings about to be actioned against me and to press 1 for more information. I did not of course. I am not is such a situation nor do I respond to incoming recorded messages. It was quite upsetting to have the call though, and could have been very frightening if a more fragile person had taken the call. I am aware legitimate people would not use such a method to contact anyone.

Claimed to be from Sky, I don't have sky so I spent a lot of time asking if they were going to supply me with Sky so that I could take advantage of their services & I insisted that it had to be supplied free. The oriental sounding lady really didn't get it. Eventually she asked if I had Sky & I replied that since she was from Sky I must have or she wouldn't be calling, but just now I couldn't remember what I'd done with it. She gave up.

Said he was from Victoria Insurance and that it was about my recent minor road traffic accident I reported a couple of days ago. Told him I ve never had an accident and hung up. Number now blocked. I ve been receiving daily calls from this number for the last 1.5 months, I tried answering at first, asking them to remove me from their database. Then I got calls with no message/answer at the other end. In the end I blocked them using my mobile phone block service, however in the last week, I ve received a number of "private number" calls, which I happen to have missed - but when checking last night noticed that they ve all come either at the same time or 1 minute later than a blocked call from 01942

SCAM / SPAM Received an automated claiming to be from HMRC stating that there was a fraud case against me and I needed to press 1 otherwise I would be arrested shortly. I just hung up as it's obviosuly a scam.
This is a number used by scammers trying to access your computer by telling you that it is infected, they guide you to view the syslog and look at the really bad infections. Then if you are daft enough they get you to open a command prompt window and log onto their website - result yhey have your computer and bye bye to lots of money
