I pressed him more, said his address was 24 Heather Ave, Lancashire, 208 001 Tried to get details out of me, I would not confirm anything. Told him I was registered with TPS and he should not be calling. He told me he s been getting away with these calls for years and TPS were useless. This is Clearanswer call centre Hull, orange have an external contract with them so realisticly they are working on behalf of orange. Its not a scam the promotions are genuine. Basically they do work for orange to help them out. I believe they also have a contract with Talk Talk. They ask if you have a mobile as you could change it at anytime. It counts as a 5 pound discount code but it has to be registered in your name and adress - so if it doesn t show by law they have to ask! Yes the persistant calls are

Appears to be a spam call from HMRC.

Pretending to be an insurance company interested in my "recent car accident". There has of course been no such accident.

Junk call, no message left

Supposedly a company called Direct Legal, claimed to want to talk to me about compensation for an accident. A quick google search reveals they are a debt collection agency based in Buckley, even though the phone number has a Glasgow area code.

This number called me. This morning just before 11am, i said Hello twice bit got no reply. I think that if it important people would leave a message for u. Or try again later ...

I asked who it was as didn t catch name. She said it was about acar crash didnt give me chance or opportunity to speak and hung up....poor girl what a job!!

a man called, asked me my name and then put me on hold. I was suspicious and hung up.i suspect a scam as the area code was northern Ireland and the mans accent was irish

I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.
