had a call pre-recorded call from this number claiming someone was trying to carry out a transaction for £900 from my Visa Debit Card (not specific about which one) and asking to confirm if it was me. Seems dodgy.

Someone just called from this no. claiming to be from Amazon. They were female with a strong Indian accent. Said someone had tried purchasing a Canon camera on my account last night in Germany. None of my personal details were confirmed with me and they wouldn't let me ask any questions. Obviously their tactic is to rush you in to the "cancellation" process as it's urgent. All I had to do was download anydesk.com. No thanks. This is how scammers connect to your computer, take control of it and steal your money. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Fraud. Claims to be PayPal but answered by Indian call center. Asked them what my paypal email address was and they hung up. Kept calling them and asking if they knew that what they were doing was fraud/illegal.

silent then hung up. Usually what happens is I get some silent calls before the influx of thick Indian accents asking about my phone in the proceeding days. aka fishing for operational phone numbers via an automated dialer.

Foreign speaking male asked me to confirm my details as I was due a refund if £202 for over paying my bills over the telephone. He knew my name address but then got upset as I wouldn't give him my date of birth etc

07401878848 is a mobile phone number at an indian call centre, i traced it back through the network. Someone pretending to be from amazon stating that my details have been used to order some high value items and that to cancel it i would have to do as they instructed. They wanted remote access to my computer/tablet/phone so they could steal my data. The idiots didn't realise that they had phoned an it company. when i informed them of their mistake they hung up.
