Just had a text message from this number, claiming to be from my eldest child. Stated Hey Dad, this is my new number, my phone just broke. You can delete my old number and save this one. I have a spare phone now, tried to call you earlier because I need your help, but I can only text at the moment due to this phone. I asked who it was. They replied, "your eldest child". This number called me at 7:36 am on a Monday morning! I'm a retired person so I don't get up before the sun and at 7:36 am the sun is still in bed in Greater Manchester. I did jump out of bed but didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. Apparently the call originated in Thanet which Google tells me is in Kent. As I know of no reason why someone from Thanet (which I'd never even heard of) should phone me at an ungodly time of day I can only assume this was a scam call.
Plays message in foreign language and hangs up, not dangerous just annoying.

Landline number in Birmingham. States it appears to be a Safe Number - But - I'm not sure it is - seems like maybe scammers to me? - When I answer the call they hang up! That's very annoying & frustrating. I added them to my blacklist.

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.

SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person
