When I answered this number the caller rang off without speaking, which I think is deeply suspicious.

I tried to find the above number, which wasn't found. If it had been my bank or building society, I would have been able to who called me. I think it's a 100% scam.

If I don't know the number I don't answer, if they are human and want me they will leave a message, if not it's a machine checking to see if I'll answer so they know they have a valid number. I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.
