I asked how he had come by my phone number as I’ve never dealt with the company, but he immediately launched into a sales pitch. I typed the number in a search engine and thanks to others listing it was able to discover its Oxfam calling me on a daily basis. Have never answered call and no message is left. The companies don’t "get" your number, they just block-dial numbers until they get a ring tone so TPS and ex-directory numbers do not offer any protection.

SCAM / SPAM: Pretended to be from Sky offering discount on equipment insurance. Asked for my wife's maiden name - not listed on Sky account.
Fraud Left a voicemail saying it's HMRC about a lawsuit, to call them back or have my soliciter get in touch or prepair to face the consequesnces. Blatently using a chopped-together recording. HMRC would always try to contact by post, not phone.
Lots of scam calls coming from "0161" number at the moment so the the call was almost certainly a scam. These calls which use spoofed numbers originate outside the UK ...

He told me that I had unresolved debts, which I challenged and said I didn t, I asked him where he had got my number from and he mentioned Debt Resolution Services.
