Caller claimed to be from a government department in reference to an accident 18 months ago, and persisted even when I said our number was registered with the TPS. Fairly threatening, saying that if I didn t cooperate my son might be in trouble because his file would remain open .

Im confused about these. I answered a call yesterday when I was at work. She said she was from virgin and needed to discuss my account. She wouldn t say why or give any indication as to what the call was about until I went through a security check. The thing is, I have both my mobile and tv, broadband at home phone package with them and have not missed any payments since I have been with them. Another call from an Asian lady at 6.0pm purporting to be from BT and in conjunction with Virgin Media asking if I was getting nuisance calls. Angrily I told her yes I was getting nuisance calls and hers was one of them as it interfered with my guitar lesson. I then immediately hung up. Are these sad spammer's ever going to stop harassing us or are our telecom experts going shut them down.

Just rang me fore mrs morris said they had the wrong number tried to find out who I eas then told me to f off then rung back after 5 minutes asking for me I told them I knew what they were up to after looking up their number and not to contact me again.
This is a PPI call. I pressed 5 to speak to the call centre. This is how it works. They have call centres which are not a part of the PPI company, they just make the cold call with their automated system, the automated dialing software offers you the option of speakign to someone if you press 5. you will speak to someone at a company who deals with the cold calling. This company is NOT the company dealing with the PPI stuff, I am guessing so that they themselves are not responsible for the cold calling part
Caller launched straight into his sales script - something about energy efficiency double glazing, so I hung up. He called straight back so I hung up again without speaking. Called back third time so I told him politely that we do not accept unsolicited calls & my number is registered with TPS . Therefore he should not be calling, and please don’t call again. He wasn’t listening but continued with his script regardless whilst I was talking. Then told me to “Shut my F*****g mouth up” And hung up.
