They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. They said that he needed to transfer ?11,000 from another account to sort out the problem and he would give the details of the account that he needed to transfer the money to. I received a call for this number that is saying that im involved in a fraud. they only inform me what fraud I was involved with if they I will tell them my full name and address. I refused to give my details and they said if I refuse they will send a police to arrest me.

I m generally pretty careful giving out my details but for some reason this time wasn t. The company called me I was given a name John Quinn and they seemed to have alot of my details already and were very pleasant. But looking back they were desperate to get my details and evasive of giving an actual amount. They promised me an email the same day and a call at 15.30. Neither of which I got. I spoke to the bank, they weren t very helpful either. Eventually I cancelled my card an froze my account. Not ideal

Introduced themselves as scrappage scheme for boilers and windows. Said they were Dundee based but number is Scuntorpe. Caller became aggressive when questioned.

Claimed to be consultants and I'd been in an accident that was not my fault.

Calls then hangs up as soon as you answer.

Called to follow up accident my husband had last year - he didn't!

15:29 19/7/16. Did not appear to know my name, address or location, as did not refer to any - so just cold call to landline. Claimed to be from BT security and that there was a problem with my router. I asked who are BT? (jut to wind him up) - the answer he gave was the only truth in his call. He wanted me to check and confirm some details on my router. I told him I did not believe what he said, I was not going to give him any information and that I was going to hang up - which I did.
