An lady with an Indian accent said she was from BT and was phoning about irregularities with our Internet, scam!

Could not pronounce my name and offered a discount on all my white goods as I hadn't claimed in the last 6 months..... Had my address and postcode then for their records asked for Bank sort code ..... you can guess what said then !

Called this morning, did not have my details but claimed to be from Openreach. Wanted to discuss my internet connection - I don't have one with Openreach. Do not give these guys any information, you will probably regret it.

We have 2 phones sending 2051 sms. Both are Nokia C21 plus and appear to have been hacked or have malware in stock ROM. Other owners of this phone are reporting the same problem. FRAUD SCAM!! This was an automated message initially asking if I'd authorised a payment for £600 to overseas. Transferred to a human who said the payment on your visa debit card, I asked which card, she replied your visa debit. I asked again which card, was told from your bank. Which bank? The bank you authorised the payment from. I said I have several banks so which one. She replied Halifax bank, when I said I don't bank with Halifax she hung up on me. Be careful folks!

I phoned this number back but it said that someone is on the phone and asked you to leave a message. This is a SCAM phone number.

100% nuisance caller. Starts with a guy who sounds likes he is mildly retarded asking to speak with "accounts payable". Ask who they are, he is evasive and eventually responding "Sovereign" regarding foreign payments. Doesn't matter how politely, or not so politely, you ask them to stop calling they will ring again a few weeks later. We just put him on hold and and leave him there.

This person is blackmailing.

Known scam 0845 and 0843 numbers call for a second or two. They rely on you to call back as the number looks official. You are then played a recorded message that is designed to keep you on the line as the call is charged at over a £1 per minute. So you end up paying for the scam and your phone company probably won't help as you made the call willingly.

We were called by this number to say that £300 had been spent on amazon and over £1000 had been spent on an international transfer. They said to press 1 to allow those transactions. We hung up.
