They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls.

I never answer the landline (to avoid giving scammers/spammers the knowledge that my landline is a valid number). I researched the number but could not find a legitimate index entry, so I conclude it is a scam and not to be trusted at all. Potentially dangerous. 02083010564 called me this morning saying they were from HMRC and something irregular has come up on my tax form. To press 1 as this could hinder my passport and something else. Ended the call see if I get anymore on my mobile. This is a scam

SCAM. Sent an email saying O had an unsecured loan for £5k approved that I applied for on Money Supermarket and to call the number. I didn’t apply for a loan so I knew this was icky. I also googled the email address that the email came from and nothing existed. Be very wary of this number.

Cold called me and said I had asked for a home owner loan - I had not. When challenged there was an excuse ready regarding a re-dial but this did not seem remotely plausible. I suspect it’s a Phishing/Finance scam - please beware!
