Called me today, claiming to Vodafone (who I ve been with for many years) but didn t even know my name.
SCAMSaid they were calling from carphone warehouse and offering me discount on new plan. They asked what network I was on. When I queried where they got my details from he said my network provider gave it to them. I replied saying that if my network provider gave them my details then they should know what network I am on. They immediately hung up

SCAM!!!! Called me about my Virgin Media internet (I don't have Virgin Media BTW). She asked if she was talking to the account holder. Told her that for security purposes I wanted her to give me a small part of the name or address to make sure it wasn't a scam (which I already knew it was) And she hung up without even saying goodbye! Some scammers are just so damn rude these days! :-)

Had 3 calls today, answered third call. Man said my computer kept sending info to their computer and he would help sort it out. He was trying to get me to hand over access to my computer to him - told him where to get off.

Scam rings at least 4 times a week. Never answer unknown numbers. They never leave a message. Rang last night at 9.45pm and again this morning at 8am. Googled the number this morning and it comes up as private house in Sittingbourne. We do not know anyone in Sittingbourne.

SCAM - Claimed to be calling from The Insulation Advisory Board in Reading - it doesn't exist. Stated that insulation installed under previous 'Green Scheme' needed checking for damp every 4 years and they would arrange to do it for Free!! Mildly irritating and worrying for the unworldly. Declined to give details and they rang off.
