The person knew my name and address BUT the wrong postcode - it was way off! As I said it was the wrong postcode they asked me for mine which I refused to give and told them as they had the wrong information I was not the person they needed.

This comes up as a Liverpool number .of is a company dealing with PPI. Very polite young man who was straight to the point regarding what the call was for. After asking a few questions, the usual ones about whether I d had any loans, credit cards, catalogues etc, he said he would get the system updated so that they didn t call again. Just about the most polite call I ve ever had regarding PPI!!

They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. This number is Santander. They contacted me when I tried to make a large transaction via Western Union and needed to confirm it was me. I was successfully able to make the transaction after the call. Very helpful.

Call ended abruptly when I answered.

Would recommend jk solutions, very helpful and I got my compensation really quickly no messing about.

Definitely weird! I have missed calls all the time from this number and another they call constantly. Left one strange answer phone message. Looking at others comments seems to be people praying on customers of car phone warehouse who are due an upgrade. Which I am but haven t yet. Just ignore/block and go to the store to be sure n safe.
