phoned to offer compensation for a traffic accident
SCAM Ignored call. It went to voicemail and an automated voice left a message saying that there had been some suspicious activity on my Amazon account to the amount of £1,400+ and that my account would be locked and I should press 1 or 2 to sort this out. Obviously I didn't. I've checked my account due to receiving the same message from a mobile number a couple of days before and it's fine.

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!

I have reported them to the fraud squad along with emailing my bank to see if I can get the money back through them as I too, borrowed money to do this. This number (01733 347007) is from a scammer. The guy claims to be from the fraud department of my bank and someone tried to change my bank account address but couldn't pass the security check. Hence his call to notify me. He knows my name, address, phone number and the bank that I have an account. I only caught it as I asked him about the phone number that he was calling from. I said I will call the bank directly, then he starts swearing, etc. Be aware of the criminals.
