Not interested in what they wanted
SCAM - someone claiming my national insurance number has been hacked.
Automated call saying two unusual payments form my account (did not say which account!!). Told to press 1 to approve payments or 2 to speak to someone. I hung up and blocked the number.
Fraud Calling about government scheme to reduce debt repayments, but called from a personal phone number (07...) and didn't know any of my details beforehand. Would be wary.
I didn't answer it, but I've no reason to know who this is, it's probably a call center in my opinion.

Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . Well spoken scammer who will try to trick you into giving out personal details. Didn't know my name. Claimed to be from Local Energy Supplier which has got to be one of the laziest, crappiest made up authority names I've ever heard. Will hang up the instant he realises it's not going anywhere.
Called about a motorcycle accident only 6 days ago (about which I'd only spoken to insurance company) - their info was several days old and when I asked who they were and why they were contacting me they asked why I was being rude and then hung up! - all the signs of a dodgy '3rd party claims vulture' if you ask me!!

They called claiming to be 3 Mobile and wanted me to upgrade to a new contract when I only just renewed my contract with the real 3 Mobile a couple of months back and my existing contract is locked for another 10 months.
