I received a call from 0800 389 0755...missed it so thought it was a client and called it back, voicemail stated it was Santander and they would call back. First issue I had with this is I don t or never have banked with Santander.vso I sourced the local branch number to enquire if someone had opened an account in my name or if there were any fraudulent activity regarding my name number. Fraudulent - Pretending to be from the Office of National Insurance and requiring you to speak to an Officer by pressing 1 due to criminal activity on your number. Automated voice
SCAM / SPAM Fraud call - recorded message claiming to be from HMRC and asking the recipient to Press 1. "If you do not press one an arrest warrant will be issued shortly". Probably the lamest scam I've heard yet, but still worth reporting. Have informed HMRC of the scam.
Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8432632xxx range... People did someone answer this number?
