a lady with a very fast speaking strong Indian accent called supposedly offering help to recover a supposed charge against a supposed Amazon account!!!!!???? I am going to assume a scam
Just got my first one from this number this morning. Before I had chance to open they hung up. Glad I found some info before thinking about ringing them back. I don t know why the authorities don t ban people/companies who do this (i.e. dial and hang up so they will get paid by people trying to call back)

Caller claimed to be from "my network" - his accent was difficult to understand, so I failed to hear what the network was. I terminated the call and blocked the number. Clearly a scam!

Called about accident in the last 3 years, which does not exist. Told her go away you silly b---h and hung up. She phoned back, I cancelled the call, she left a voicemail telling me not to speak to her like that again. Must have hit a nerve somewhere.
Person at the end of the call said they were blind and wanted help with bank account details! Very plausible sounding London accent!

Asked for a person by name but wouldn't say where they were calling from. Claimed it was about a personal matter and kept evading the question when asked where they were calling from.
Recorded message "bank alert" from bank "technical department" Usual same male voice used regularly for these scams from various numbers. Total pain and regarded as harrassment,. Thery obviously think folk are stupid enough to respond by pressing button 2 - which only atkes you to a premium rate line from which the scammers make money. Five star bad.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. SCAM. This number is a pre-recorded message saying "that our internet is going to be cut off in 4 hours due to unusual activity on our IP address press 1 to talk to your internet provider". Didn't press 1 I just hung up. They call many times a day on many different numbers.
