Same as above. Recorded voice (well educated English) saying a law suit taken out against me ( didn't specify if it meant me or my husband, both retired) and to press 1 to speak to case officer. Stupidly I did press I out of curiosity and was told to leave a message. I realised it was a scam and hung up without speaking but am now worried that by pressing 1, I may have inadvertently enabled scammer to access my phone details or worse. Like many other people I have been charged £30.99 which I definitely did not make. On checking this with a2b they can do nothing as they get paid by the provider, in my case, BT. I have made 4 different chat lines to BT but with no effect. They gave me a discount of £5. I was insulted and said I want a refund - the Indian base have told me to email BT at [email protected] I doubt if I will get anywhere and feel this scam should now be exposed to the media. I hope this might help others in this position
