I get continuously called from this number, also 0161 numbers. Really annoying

It s uncle buck asking if I got paid earlier over christmas

Over the last few weeks this company has tried to phone me, but because I do not know the number I have not picked up. Left no message.

rung a few times but silence when answered

was late answering so they d hung up but I didn t recognise the number so googled it. On reading comments here I added it to my reject list. If I m feeling particularly argumentative I ll answer but generally I don t bother if I don t recognise the number. If they were genuine they d leave a voicemail wouldn t they?

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. Guy with an Indian accent who spoke very fast when he left me a voice mail. I couldn t understand him so thought I would look up his number first, and this is what I found.

Usual woman s voice saying she s from Amazon calling about my Prime account - which I do not have anyway ! - nuisance value !!

These people who purport to be from the UK Trade Register keep calling me on variations of the 020 3409 .... numbers and each time they call I tell them I m now ill (its not going to get better!!) and block the number. But they won t listen. The guy today just talked over me, ignored my comments and pleas to be left alone and continued bombard and talk over me. I eventually hung up. There must be something we can do to stop this sort of harassment.
