A guy stating his name was Jerry and claimed to be calling from Glasgow about gas boilers but sounded Indian called me from this number. After stating that I didn't have gas he hung up. I looked up the number and it appears to be a London number. Do these people not know where they are in the UK or are they calling from abroad?

I never get these kinds of calls. But I had this number calling me today and yesterday (2 & 3 June 2020) with a recorded message claiming to be from BT and informing you that your internet will be cut off in 24 hours due to suspicious activity on your account. On the 3rd time they called, I actually pressed "1" to "speak to a consultant" and asked them to remove my number from their list. They then just hung up on me. Hopefully that will be the last of that! :-)

They have started calling me regularly over the last few weeks. I am on Orange PAYG. I never answer if I don t recognize the number. Glad I didn t now that I have read other comments. I will see if I can work out how to block the number.
