Female asked politely how I was then what handset I had. Said I do not want contact and told her she is breach of Telephone Preference and Information Commissioner. She hung up. I expect many more fraudulent calls now!

Text message left claiming to be from a child of mine, but didn’t give a name. Asked me to WhatsApp them and this was their new number, for a new phone as the old number was for the old damaged phone. It just struck me as odd so ignored and then blocked the number. I believe it was an attempt to get me to engage and was a scam.

This is the third Telephone I have received. It is a scam for Amazon card order for £300 and Money transfer of a £1000. Do not reply.
Got a call claiming to be a person from my college...a college I have not attended for more than a year at this point, their accent didn't seem English at all and I could barely hear them, I have yet to have a call back from it since the call got dropped.

A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. This number called me and when I answered, the voice from a foreign male person spoke. I advised that they had just called me but they said that had not done so. This was the second time I received a call like this from another number (07565 827573), within 10 minutes of each other. I believe this was a SPOOFING SCAM and advise anyone who receives anything like this to be on your guard and not give ANY personal information away ... not even your name.
