Caller claimed I had a problem with malware on my PC and he would guide me through the repair of it. He asked me to turn on my computer and when I told him no, he got aggressive, told me my PC would screw up and then hung up.

Scammer ....called at 6pm said he had three simple questions to ask ?? then wanted to confirm house number and postcode so i just gave him the runaround till he hung up !!!!
Because it was a 0900 number, decided not to risk answering it, as it could incur expensive charges. Now blocked!

Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.

I had a email apparently from Meta (Facebook) to say this number (07956836341) had been added to my Facebook account and with a link to report this if it wasn’t me who added the number. The date on the email was wrong (Friday 6th June 2023 doesn’t exist). The link asked for my FB password so I didn’t continue. I checked my FB security details and no number had been added. It looks as though this is a scam to try to access FB passwords.

Again one of those calls reporting that you have been involved in a car accident. I don t have a car... It seemed like a recorded message and caller hung up when I twice answered that I don t have a car.

This is a scam caller that asks if you have recently been in a car accident. Do not engage with them.
They said they are from the government and want to check if I am at home. I was isolating following my return after travelling abroad. I confirmed as I was isolating at home. The caller then wanted me to divulge personal details which made me suspect the call as the passenger locator form has all my details. I refused and at that point the caller threatened me and said I would be reported fro not cooperating and the threats got more, and he said I would get into trouble, at which point I hung up.

Claimed to be HSBC (not even with them) suggested tax fraud somehow related to me, and that not following their instructions would lead to my arrest. Clearly fraudulent.
They hung up when I answered - I rang back and it was fusion insurance brokers I despise cold callers - blocked their number

Call consisted of me answering, saying Hello, repsonce of "Jack from car phone warehouse", ended call and blocked number. I have nothing to do with car phone warehouse so 100% Scam Phone number came up 44077175182,
Asked me about a recent accident I ve apparently had at work and then asked for my bank details so they can "confirm my identity", even though they wouldn t give me their name, the company name, or the nature of the accident
Scam and fraud. Machine voice stating that they are my mastercard provider (didn't say which one) and that £600 has been taken from my bank by a foreign account. I hung up.

The person knew my name and address BUT the wrong postcode - it was way off! As I said it was the wrong postcode they asked me for mine which I refused to give and told them as they had the wrong information I was not the person they needed.
