01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?
This number is for PPI automated messages. They call you literally daily! Very annoying and there seems to be no way of stopping them.

Fraud I find British airways for help, website shown this number. When I called the guy said I must paid to do something, I tell him the debit card information. Then I saw from email the request action was done 6 days ago by British airway. Called our company asking for the branch manager to carry out a survey on energy contracts & customer satisfaction. Told him it s all decided through head office so our branch manager wouldn t deal with it. He then asked if he could call back at a more convenient time, (obviously didn t listen to a word i d just told him!) at which point i told him no he couldn t call back at a more convenient time, no thank you & hung up on him. Logged him on our nuisance call list to be blocked by our telecoms company

They ring at least 3 times a day regarding ppi. Pressing 5 DOES NOT remove you from their list. Nor does pressing 9 and speaking to the knobber who answers because as soon as you try to explain that you don t want them to keep calling they hang up on you. Reporting them now every single time they harrass me.

Unwanted, unsolicited nuisance call which woke up our baby grandson who had just been put down to sleep.
Back again, they phoned my mobile yesterday and today my landline. Local garage had my contact numbers 2 years ago when I bought a car. In the past has just been postal advertising. The number is in Runcorn so misrepresentation of fact! Answered the phone with what are you selling, told them not to phone again as I don t want to buy a car. Must be a call centre in Runcorn, annoyed that local garage has sold or is using contact details for reasons beyond the original sale!!!
