SCAM Claims to be from O2 and sends texts messages during the call requesting that you tell the caller the code that is in the message for a 40% discount. An obvious scam, reported to NCSC and O2 as it looks like they’re trying to scam users into giving O2 account passcodes which is fraud. Kept her talking long enough for her to become quite rude and call me a liar, I’m not even with O2 so not sure why they’d target me, certainly not an O2 employee anyway.

This is a SCAM. The call started with a woman stating she was from Virgin Media and had noted problems with my router; asked if I had also noticed this. I said I hadn't. She said she could help me resolve the problem. I told her she couldn't, not least because I wasn't with Virgin Media. She told me she could help because all the providers' support centres were working together on this. I told her 'nice try' and hoped the weather was good in Delhi, or wherever she was 'phoning from. Then I hung up.

Caller pretends to be from BT alledging illegal access to your broadband. Asks you to download a website Anydesk.com. This shows you suppossedly all the users who are accessing you broadband. Then they ask you to check your bank account and lo and behold someone has taken money from your account. In the next few minutes they show you that you have been credited with a large amount of money. This is to say thank you for helping them track scammers. SCAM. The caller was a woman claiming to be based in Cape Town, South Africa. She further claimed to be from the energy company – E.ON – that supplies me with electricity. She knew or guessed my first name, and asked for confirmation of details of my name and mailing address. However, she did NOT ask for – nor did she receive – my e˗mail address, my account number, or any bank or credit card or debit card details. Furthermore, she did not ask for immediate payment. Have nothing to do with this number.

Called me twice. Today I checked the number. The pitch: calling from my mobile provider to offer a 30% discount off my bill, then they want to know how much you pay for your bill. If you say sure - they will try and set this up on the phone, or direct you to your provider website. like this is an option, I chose my provider's website, they hung up. Today's call it was the 30% discount again - and hung up.

Scammy soensos. Called twice in a row. 1st time told me it was HMRC and I owed tax, Totalling 1235.00 Told me I needed to set up payment via Google play. It disconnected, and approx 20 min later called back. This time, told me its life insurance, updating my claim and offering me a payout, by paying a fee. Okay. Sure.

Text from this number purporting to be from Post Office. Notification of delivery failure and requesting £1.99 redelivery fee. I suspect that if you click on the pay now button it will ask for card details from which to extract the fee. I have had it confirmed by the Company from which I was expecting the parcel and by Royal Mail that this is a scam. The html behind the website interface is http://www.w3.org/1999/html, which when googled separately does not exist.

SCAM Said they were a claims company. Had my name, date of birth but had wrong address details. She claimed that I had used them to make a claim several years ago which isn't true. She said it may be so long ago I had forgotten using though them. It's not too long and I know I never have or will use claim companies or cold calls. She made a lot of saying she wouldn't ask for any details that could be a risk to me but went straight into my employment status and address details. I gave her NOTHING and NEITHER
