You then get further harassment calls from them trying to "give your computer back" so they can gain further access/exploit more cash from you. Key targets are older or vulnerable people. Be safe.

O2 scam using Cardiff number thick indian accent I questioned the location and was hung up on

Some person claiming to be from o2 offering me a 40% discount on my monthly phone bill.......due to covid 19!!!! SPAM Didn't respond when I answered the phone. Never received a call from this number before, so I hung up after a few seconds. My Pixel phone then pinged a notification suggesting it could well be spam. Blocked.

SCAM This looked like a local number BUT it was a recorded message purporting to come from Amazon about a sizeable sum taken from my account for an order and to press 1 if it wasn't me who made the order. Needless to say I hung up without pressing any numbers.
