AMAZON A lady with an Indian accent said she was from amazon and was calling about my prime account being charged and did I want my money back. I told her I didn't have a prime account. She said if I switch on my computer she will show me. I said why should I switch on my computer to find something that I don't have. She was rude and insistent.
Although it appears to be a Fakenham landline, it was a recorded message claiming to be from Visa. Claimed my card had been used to purchase goods from Amazon and Western Union. I hung up

Fraud Call - I got a called from this number saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said I would receive a code from them and to read it out to them. I got 2 messages from O2 saying I had requested a security code and not to give the code to anyone and if I suspected fraud to call 202. The lady got really aggressive when I said I wouldn't give her the code as O2 shouldn't need the code. When I said I would check if this was ok she gave me another number to call to verify -

01482 293843 called me several times. I called back and got an automated message saying welcome to Vodafone all of our operators are busy right now please hold blah blah blah... I hung up. My broadband contract has just ended with Vodafone and I already renewed it with them on a social tariff. Maybe the call was connected to that. I saved the number to contacts so the name will come up if they call again and I'll answer it to find out. Like many I don't answer withheld numbers or numbers I don't recognise.
Fraud Called pretending to be instructed by an United Kingdom Insurance Limited. He spoke very convincingly and was stubborn that the call was "not out of the blue" that he was instructed to call me because they had to transfer funds to me in relation to driving accident that was not my fault. Automated message supposedly 'Bank Security' regarding two recent payments made by card....1 to Amazon for £300 and the 2nd an International payment of £1000+. The usual crap is then given re pressing 1 or 2 depending on how you want to proceed. Complete load of rubbish. I get regular calls from a variety of numbers all exactly the same. They want shooting! Bloody nuisance.

Man saying from amazon prime and my subscription for amazon prime is up for renewal. Noisy background like a call centre. Got very aggressive when I said I have not/never subscribed to amazon.
Also getting calls from same number but ending 352. Left to answerphone, no message. Other, similar, numbers from this area code are reported as insulation scams, so that is a possibility.
