claimed to be from my internet provider-asked me to confirm router was working ok as had received large volume of calls. When I advised I was not at home(despite the fact they had called my landline) heard whispered conversation with a workmate/supervisor,asked to perform the same check on router again I repeated that I was not at home. If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution

I have received several Phone calls from this company. stating I have had a car accident, and they would deal with it for me. I have not had a motor vehicle for 5 years, when told this they still want to proceed with a claim. I told them I would not help them in making a fraud claim. they wouldnt even tell me where and when this accident location was

Stated he was phoning from Microsoft and became very aggressive and threatening when I said I was not interested.Stated they would cut off my computer .When I asked why he was phoning from a mobile rather than landline he did not respnd nor when I said I would phone Microsoft myself.Think this is most likely to be a scam (if not Microsoft need to be more careful in who they employ!!)
