Unknown caller. when dialed there is an exchange message "The number you have dialed has not been recognised. Please check and try again." This seems to be occurring more frequently. It is now possible to make calls from another number look as though the call is coming from somewhere totally different, for example a call made from a Glasgow number can seem to come from London. Be wary. This experience happens on calls from 01506 674749 to 01506 674752 inclusive.

The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. Fraud Call claimed to checking on possible fraudulent payments from a bank card (one to Amazon, and one international), and inviting me to press 1 to continue. But as it was left on answering machine this could not be done. No card provider specified and they didn't address me by name. On checking, no such payments have been made from any of my cards.
