Fraud SCAM Telephone call from 01376 567981 on Friday 23 June. Voice message claiming unusual use of bank account. Did not identify which bank or which account holder. Obviously attempt at fraud. Left phone line open until call terminated, then blocked telephone number.

SCAM. Purported to be from Carphone warehouse - claimed to be 'work with all major networks' to offer phone upgrade at up to 40% off. Ha. Couldn't tell me which network I was with, so probably trying to scam me.

SCAM called claiming to close down BT internet account, automated call
called alot so i answered a few times without speaking and they hung up immediately. Then i answered and went along with "the nice man from Microsoft" who wanted to "fix" my computer. When i got to a step that would do something to my computer i told him i thought he was a fake and a terrible person for sucking people in and he got really angry and went off! These people are scum for hoaxing people who don t know computers, particularly elderly folk.
General opinion seems to be that it is Tesco. I don`t shop with them and have none of their other products/services, so not sure why they phoned

Fraud Claimed to be calling from BT OpenReach Wanted me to do a speed test Then tried to get me to go to an unknown page which my Malware guard immediately flagged so I stopped doing what they said and just pretended. Just got my first one from this number this morning. Before I had chance to open they hung up. Glad I found some info before thinking about ringing them back. I don t know why the authorities don t ban people/companies who do this (i.e. dial and hang up so they will get paid by people trying to call back)
