Was relatively pushy about doing me the favour of switching my energy company and "putting money in my pocket", pretty much had to just hang up on her as she wouldn t take no for an answer. I believe they re trying to find numbers which are "live" so they can sell them on to telemarketers and other unscrupulous types. Grotty little businesses. The best way of doing that is calling and then seeing which phones get answered. If a phone is answered then it must be "live" so they hang up and that number is sold on to a 3rd party. Then if you own the number and you answered you get even more nuisance calls.
