This number called and asked for me by my first name. When I asked who was calling he hung up. I have blocked this number- definitely dodgy if he won’t say who he is and why he is calling.
This company are scammers, they place duplicate orders with suppliers, and attempt to use the payment for one on all the orders. They are abrasive and deceitful.
They ve called several times this month to "update our systems". They re a damned nuisance!

Fraud Got a phone call from this number. I answered the call and nobody answered for about 20 seconds. Then a very thick Indian accent said "Hello, this is Jenny from BT Openreach.....". I replied "No your not...your a scammer" and hung up. I know and live in this dialing code and there are no BT Openreach offices in this area. Given the accent and that it is BT Openreach (which I don't even use) I suspect this is an Indian based scam call centre.

I have calls from this number nearly every day when I don t answer they call my mobile straight away, I did answer one day and told them to stop calling but they don t listen so I just let it ring then answer machine comes on they don t leave any message but it s just cost them the price of a call. So anyone having calls from this number just hang up and don t be fooled by their soft talk and don t give them any of your bank card details as its all a scam. Hope this helps other people.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. Shortly after completing an online purchase I received a voicemail message saying it was from Central Scotland Fraud Prevention and wanted me to ring them back regarding suspicious activity on my bank account. On calling the number on back of my card for 24 hour banking I was told that no suspicious activity had been noted and that call received was fraudulent.
