Not sure, but seemed to want all my ID details to confirm the refund I was to receive in couple of days, and was vague about who was calling, claimed to be some sort of Financial Authority. Number is Manchester area, and with all due respect to friends in Manchester, apart from Blackburn Lancashire, a call centre dialled call from Manchester rings more alarm bells than phone bells.

When they rang me again and asked if I worked in industry I said yes i do and don t ring me back you are being investif=gated for fraud to which the reply - "Oh shit"

Pre recorded Scam call relating to unexpected withdrawals from a bank account. No name or bank mentioned. Asked for me to press 1 to confirm. That's a giveaway (red flag) as is the lack of personal details. I put the phone down immediately.

Automated message saying there is a Tax Fraud Case against me, I didn't answer the call but they left a voicemail and this is how I know what they were after. Checked with HMRC and guess what, Another SCAM.

Reckons they have a cheque for £3100 which they say is PPI I wrongly paid on a loan, a local delivery man would deliver the cheque and when it is cleared and the money is in my account he will call again to collect Paysafe Vouchers for £225 which I have to buy and show to the cheque deliverer before he will hand over the cheque. Person on the phone told him he was calling from HMRC, quoted some references that sounded legit, including the details of an arrest warrant because of unpaid taxes... But then when he tried to ask questions, person on the phone became really aggressive... Which only wound my partner up and made him ask more questions. Automated call saying they are your internet service provider and they have detected illegal activity and will suspend the service....then there are options, press 1 for this, 2 for that.......stopped listening and terminated the call. Over the last two days, have received several calls all from different mobile numbers saying the same thing.
