SCAM - calls to take card payments for advertising space that has never been taken do not pay them - offer 10% discount to pay today but there is no product? cannot send an invoice and when questioned he becomes rather angry and agitated said his name was James, very strong northern accent and we live down south on the coast so wouldn't be advertising near him anyway!
The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. This is a renewal scam phone number. Do not call them. You haven't been billed for renewing Norton (even if you are using it, this number is not Norton). They even claim the number is "toll free" - which it isn't. Also, this is not a term we use in the UK anyway, we would say it was a freephone number. The scam usually involves you logging in to your on-line bank, then them showing you that they have overrfunded you (by blanking your screen then manipulating the contents of the page).

SCAM I answered as it was a landline (Cambridge location) Automated voice message apparently from HMRC warning of possible tax investigation - then to press 1 to transfer. I hung up at that point so did not hear the other options.

Thery obviously think folk are stupid enough to respond by pressing button 2 - which only atkes you to a premium rate line from which the scammers make money. Five star bad.

These are a company who are trying to enforce time lapsed statute barred debts I answer the phone and don t speak then it costs them money also if you don t end the call they cannot phone out again until you do they soon stop calling
I m getting daily 2 to 3 calls from this number claiming I had an accident. They forcibly try to get personal info. I have given them nothing! BTW I had no accident. My number is registered with TPS and they ignore the law and keep calling, even when I alert them to that fact. BEWARE- SCAM!
Decided to switch from Scottish Power because of their massive price hike. Obviously they want to keep customers but they are too late. Change done and it is cheaper that Scottish Powers 2016 prices.Out at time of call.
