I received a missed call from this number, when called back heard a musical tone (no ringing) answered straight away and knew my name as my number hadn't been blocked. Asked to whom I was speaking and was advised that it was the "Motor Investigation Bureau" regarding a recent minior incident. Web development company from India using a false UK landline number. This is now the 70th call from an overseas company after registering a domain name yesterday. As a web development company of many years standing, we have never had this hassle before when registering new domain names for our clients. These people are like vultures!!!! I can t blame them for trying but for goodness sake, DO IT ABOVE BOARD, STOP HIDING BEHIND FAKE UK NUMBERS!!!

This number called me a moment ago I answered the call and said Hello, the caller said sorry wrong number and hung up.
Called at 13:51 today by a foreign sounding male, who gave an English sounding name. Said he was calling on behalf of Marks & Spencer and stated they had been given my number by the Government. When I said I wasn t the person he was asking for (I was) he said "then why the f**k did you waste my time then you b***h" before disconnecting the call. Charming gentleman.

Fake number so definitely scammer.
Didn’t take the call on my landline but they left a pre recorded message informing me that my card had been used in a foreign transaction twenty minutes before and that I should press 1 to stop it. I rang the number from my mobile a couple of times and each time got the busy tone. I reckon it’s a poor attempt at a scam.

I didn’t give her any chance to enter into a sales patter but just told her that I already had a local plumber and that any thoughts of selling me of her wares was destined for failure.
