Almost certainly SPAM/SCAM as it called at the usual parasites'/pests' evening time, in this case 6.30pm. There was a suspicious pause & silence (auto-dialler?) when I answered and then the call was disconnected. Believe that this number could be associated with Bank Payment scams. I had an automated call from the bank stating that they has identified to suspicions payments against my account and would I confirm 'yes'; or 'no'. When I confirmed that I knew nothing about them I was put through this number which was answered by a man who gave his name as a Paul Butler and stated that he was a member of the Bank Fraud team. A comment he made got me suspicious and I rang off/blocked

I have recieved 2 calls from this number, both times the person reports to be from Amazon Business and seeking that I set up a business account. Amazon have checked this out and its definitely not them, so must therefore be a nuisance or scam. The person calling knows your name.

SCAM Says they are working for Visa and two transactions on my account are possibly fraudulent. She would not tell me which card it was on until she has access to my computer. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM. I told her it was a scam and she put the phone down. Actions speak louder than words!

01482 293843 called me several times. I called back and got an automated message saying welcome to Vodafone all of our operators are busy right now please hold blah blah blah... I hung up. My broadband contract has just ended with Vodafone and I already renewed it with them on a social tariff. Maybe the call was connected to that. I saved the number to contacts so the name will come up if they call again and I'll answer it to find out. Like many I don't answer withheld numbers or numbers I don't recognise.
