SCAM Automated voice purporting to be Amazon stating prime membership has lapsed and requires to be renewed. My Prime membership is fine and I doubt that Amazon would be calling about it, especially from a local Dundee number!

SCAM. The caller was a woman claiming to be based in Cape Town, South Africa. She further claimed to be from the energy company – E.ON – that supplies me with electricity. She knew or guessed my first name, and asked for confirmation of details of my name and mailing address. However, she did NOT ask for – nor did she receive – my e˗mail address, my account number, or any bank or credit card or debit card details. Furthermore, she did not ask for immediate payment. Have nothing to do with this number.

Agree with anon. I told the lady not interested and don’t call back (not that I would really understand what she was saying). It then phones me back asking why I am not interested. This really pees me off and suffice told her to do one and hung up. She called again, ignored it and blocked it.

The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. This country has some of the most advanced telecomms technology in the world. WHY can't the authoriries (Police, BT, the Regulator) take down these numbers?

Caller pretends to be from BT alledging illegal access to your broadband. Asks you to download a website Anydesk.com. This shows you suppossedly all the users who are accessing you broadband. Then they ask you to check your bank account and lo and behold someone has taken money from your account. In the next few minutes they show you that you have been credited with a large amount of money. This is to say thank you for helping them track scammers. After applying for a loan this company rang me multiple times a day i asked them to call me back after 6pm the first time as i was working and did want to see if they could help me but the I had 7 calls off the in 3 hours NOT one after the time I said I could answer, the following day the same company different number rang me 13 times between 10 am and 4:30 pm so i blocked those numbers, the following day i had a further 14 missed calls from this company off another 5 numbers. So far I am I up to 14 number
