Text job scam on Whatsapp. I never applied for such a thing. There was an “intern” copy pasting the job requirements. The job itself seemed too good to be true. I looked up the actual company said number was impersonating on Linkdin and the roles offered were for experienced workers (not trainees like the scammers said) and had roles for very specific areas of the uk. The scammer couldn't elaborate on where this “job” is based but it could miraculously work from home. They had very bad English grammar.

So when I see Tunisia on phone display blocked and reported to all possible-ICO/7726 and all on line forums utter utter scumbags. WhatsApp getting lately which I’ve never had. How come NOTHING DONE BY ANY AGENCIES? This number has over 100k look ups as a scam?! Find prosecute and put in tech that stops this once and for all-Bas*ards! Rang twice and left a message that we have been charged £95 because our prime has ran out! We don't use prime and there has no debit on our account! Suspect its a scam and haven't answered, will now block them.

This number ends in 408 not 409 every time I ring it its busy so I am presuming its a scam so beware

Caller claimed to be from BT technical services. She told me that there were a number of people using my internet connection and there numerous errors. I asked her for the error numbers and how did they know and my husband was to blame for using naughty sites - she rang off, saying that I could chose to believe or not.

SPAM Called themselves 'Confirm My Policy' offering to sell life insurance. Claimed to work with big name insurers but no evidence of their existence online.

SCAM Female voice. The person pretended to be from a Bank. Whenever I heard the first few words I put the phone down because I realised that the call was a SCAM and that personal information was probably what was wanted.

SCAM - initial recording warned my electric was going to be shut off in a few minutes. When I transferred to a "representative" it was what sounded like an Indian man. He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. He told me the "balance" and the amount was incorrect because I have my bill in front of me and an a real call wouldn't give me info since the account isn't in my name without other info. This number is based in Murmansk, Russia, and sent me a link. I'm sure it is a scam (at best) and at worst will skim all your data if you hit it. Delete, delete, delete!
