Had this number call me everyday. It s an automated machine call. I am going to email the company and tell them I will be charging them ?6 per call I receive plus another ?6 per minute duration of the call. And ?10 per letter / email I have to send them after.

Stated he was phoning from Microsoft and became very aggressive and threatening when I said I was not interested.Stated they would cut off my computer .When I asked why he was phoning from a mobile rather than landline he did not respnd nor when I said I would phone Microsoft myself.Think this is most likely to be a scam (if not Microsoft need to be more careful in who they employ!!)

I called NatWest on their official telephone banking number who confirmed that this is an automated fraud prevention text alert. It was used to verify a suspicious transaction on my account with a simple Yes or No reply to the text. They state they will never ask for personal details on a text. Genuine number.
Three calls today. Have my name and landline number even though ex-directory. Claimed to be from my home towns "Workers" whatever that s supposed to be. Phishing for information, did I work in "industry" (didn t specify which). Suspect they re trying to build a mugs list for compensation claim calls.

I think this organisation is trying to get people to sign up to let them pursue PPI claims and the like. They hung up when I asked them for their number so that I could pursue a claim with the TPS. 1471 came in handy.

They say they are from BT and want to fix a fault by getting you to log onto your computer. Clearly a scam.
SUPER RUDE human being - and I use the term loosely. Has been rude, aggressive, and generally made a twit of himself to most of my colleagues. Apparently he is calling back tomorrow "before time runs out" on whatever it is he won t tell me about. SCAM Call starts with an automated message telling you that there is an arrest warrant out for you for underpaid tax and tax fraud. Continued the call to confront whoever initiated the call, and it follows through to an Indian call centre purporting to be HMRC. Do not give any details to these scammers!

Other practices at Link Financial Outsourcing Ltd which need looking at is their contempt for the Data Protection Act. When Link contact you they might ask you to give them a reference number which they have previously left on your answering machine. The fact that anyone with access to your phone also has this information invalidates it as a security question. Other security questions might be to ask you for your date of birth.
