I keep getting phone calls from people call themselves " Windows " telling my husband and I there is something wrong with our computer / laptop.
For once, an unknown number that is actually legit. It was a call from Thames Water. I didn t answer as I didn t recognise the number but the voice message was genuine with specific details (including the correct address) about a drainage issue I d discussed with them earlier. Genuine call.

Supposed to be pc maintenance or windows tech support. Called from this number and also 004258967. 2 calls a day for 2 days so far. Indian sounding accents, very insistent and persistent . SCAM Call received today 15th Feb 2021. Computerised call. Pretended to be from HMRC and that my name was recorded as a tax fraud and a warrant would be issued against me if I didn't press 1 now. I am an accountant in practice who has dealt with the HMRC for 30 years. This a SCAM. The HMRC will never call you like this on such matters. If you do owe money to HMRC only pay them through the secure channels listed on the government website and ensure it is your reference you are making the payment against.

Been having these people call non stop twice a day! I have blocked over 15 numbers which they use since they bombard me with texts and voicemails asking for a Victoria - The funny things is that I m male and I don t know a Victoria! I have told these people to stop calling me and that they have the wrong number. Don t worry a lawsuit will soon be in place for harassment since I have recordings of all communications.
