This is a completely valid number - the only problem is that it is a generic outbound call and you will be unable to identify the specific department that called you. This is actually quite frustrating for most recepiants. The NHS will normally call again later.

I asked how he had come by my phone number as I’ve never dealt with the company, but he immediately launched into a sales pitch. Phoned claiming to have a missed call from me , insisting had used the missed call to ring me back. Some kind of scam
SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.
