AMAZON ‘Julie’ rang my landline and said she was from Amazon Security. An attempt had been made to purchase an iphone using my account at nearly £700. Said it was an emergency that I check my emails while she waited. Said I would phone Amazon Security once I had checked. Caller became more insistent and said we have to block them as an emergency to stop the purchase. Said I would phone my bank to prevent payment. She said bank wouldn’t be able to put a ‘stop’ only Amazon security. Caller hung up.
They called twice in one week. You always know these people. You answer once, twice and then when you are just about ready to hang up they speak. Lots of back ground noise from their colleagues making more nuisance calls to other poor victims and they ask for you by name but need you to confirm it. You either say they have the wrong number and that person isn t known at this number then hang up or, just say that the line is breaking up and you can t hear them. They get bored really quickly and hang up.

SPAM - Got my number through a competition to win a photoshoot. Ever since I have been relentlessly called despite having changed my mind about wanting the shoot. I have blocked a number from them once before and have now had to block this one as well. Extremely annoying and frustrating.

Direct Business Solutions (DBS). Called several times but don t seem to know about previous calls they have made. Perfectly polite but it s another sales call. Trying to get the best deal etc etc. Told them I wouldn t be using a broker once contract end with supplier but didn t stop them trying. Quite annoying. Have now blocked their number.
This number keeps calling me and is a nuisance call touting for business - it is a scam - put the phone down instantly and blacklist the number.

Got a call from 0208 415 1292 claiming to be from HMRC with an automated message saying that I have tax evaded, without stating my name or anything, and the message carries on saying that they have a warrant on me :P honestly!?!?!?!?... they carry on asking me to press this and that button, which I didn't ofc... I hung up... Careful guys when you get calls from unknown people asking you to press this button or that, you may be giving way for hackers to clone your phone.

Does relate to an account setup. It s a company relates to crypto and it s a courtesy call. Caller is actually in Cyprus not London Dodgy number but thanks BT for allowing such things legal but misleading. Call genuine.

Will spend over a hour with you on the phone getting you to check your internet security, but while you are doing this they are hacking into your internet and taking all the money from your bank and putting it into a western union account! They cleared my bank account
SCAM recorded voice claims the call is from BT Internet to say that there has been suspicious activity on my account. Invites me to press 1 to talk "To an Executive to resolve the issue". I waited until the caller hung up. Cannot find area code 0119. This is clearly a scam to lead me into a conversation with a fraudster. How are these people obtaining "UK numbers" from BT? SCAM 01227631995 - had a call from this number claiming to be from Amazon regarding a Gift Casrd purchase for £49+ made supposedly by me from an address in London. Having never bought a gift card nor having anything to do with this address I told the caller so, and also said that this is a scam call, to which he hung up. I have had several similar calls to this one for varying amounts and each time I am quoted the same London address. Clearly this is a scam and should be avoided at all costs.
