A female voice claiming to be from Microsoft went through a rigmarole of getting the Event Viewer up. I disconnected from the internet and obeyed. THEY PHONED MY SHOP TODAY SAYING THEY WERE FROM METERING DEPARTMENT AND MY GAS METER WAS GIVING FALSE READING OF OVER £6000, THEY WANTED TO SEND AN ENGINEER TO CHECK IT BUT NEEDED MY CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED WHAT THE METER NUMBER IT RELATED TO, BUT THEY KEPT ASKING FOR CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THEIR MANAGER AND THEY HUNG UP. BY THE WAY I DO NOT HAVE A GAS SUPPLY AT MY BUSINESS.
