Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. I've had two missed calls from this local phone number, but they don't bother to leave a message & when I phone back it is an automated message that let's me know that nobody will answer and I can't leave a message. If you don't warn someone you're going to phone, they're not going to answer. My only guess is that it's someone from the council or Severn Trent possibly.

This number called my mobile then disconnected after 2 rings. I called it back and an automated voice in an irritating American accent said "Hi. Thanks for calling. Please hold while we connect you". After hearing this for 5 times in quick succession, I hung up and blocked the number. I'm guessing a spam or scam caller.

Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated
This is a scam number as they have called my house phone number today saying my bank cards have 2 transactions going out,that are not recognised, little do they know my house phone number has never been given to anyone apart from my sister in law who lives abroad as we don't use it we use our mobiles. This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. Usay Compare, legitimate company, only call you if you've enquired online. Bupa use them to compare online enquiries rather than do their own. They will remove your details if you bother to answer your phone and ask them to, rather than hiding from it and complaining on a random website like a child
