You can now buy an app for a mobile which spoofs its real number, similarly, there are ranges of spoof landline numbers. They originally had a legitimate use in filming - to make the action appear realistic but avoid some poor devil on a random number getting dragged out of bed at all hours. Not sure what the statute on time for claims is but doubt it goes back that far. Have asked them to stop calling but it is automated to try and get you to call them, which I do not intend to do, so I suppose I will continue to get more calls!!
This number is calling me every other day and I have never asked for a boiler quote. Their voice mails say something different each time but always references a boilerband the name they quote is not mine. They must have tried phoning 10 times over 2 weeks.

loan broker...when looking for a loan online as soon as you give your phone number it has been sold to 2 3 4 parties and they sell to 2 3 4 5 parties and on and on.
SCAM 02085998914 called with recorded message claiming to be from HMRC saying warrant was issued in my name. Said if I did not press 1, I would be arrested shortly. I hung up and blocked ???? the number. This is clearly a dangerous scam. Do not answer the call or press 1. HMRC would never do this. Beware.
