The caller claimed to be from SKY and wanted to know how many mobile handsets were in the households...without even telling me why they are asking...I aksed them why do u want to know...the caller said because we are offering a sky Mobile service...so how
They rang me to tell me that they were calling me from BT and were offering a service upgrade to eliminate harassment or telemarketing calls. I said that was fine, however she then asked me for details off my card for identity verification to which I answered you rang me and told me my name?? I ended the phone call very soon after that and didn t part with any details. If this is a genuine call from BT they should be pulled up for harassment themselves.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438727xxx range (I use the app from these pages, no problems)... People did someone answer this number?
