Weird phone call. Called me up on Skype and all you you hear is a voice saying "please hold the line". Call the number back and it instantly gives you the error tone.
Fraud - recorded voice told me to press 1 if I had not ordered an Apple IPad “in order to inform the billing department”. The voice was one often used in fraudulent calls.
Two calls from this number today, looks dodgy so havent answered it.

Very rude man wants myself and my wife to take out advertising and also to give out personal details about ourselves. When I said no he threatened to kill us and said he was entitled to have our details. Has now phoned 22 times in 3 hours. Treat carefully.

Automated scam call about HMRC customs tax fraud.
My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They estimate readings and send someone over to check for themselves. Southern Electric have made a note of this number. I advis

Very dodgy call handlers, no customer service skills , rude and pushy will call you and hang up typical bullies .
After the usual delay, while the auto-dialer connected me to a scammer, I heard a voice with a foreign accent shouting "Phone! Phone!" Then some mumbled words in a foreign language and they hung up. I think they could do with some work on their phone script.
SCAM This was almost definitely a scam of some kind. The caller spoke with accented English in a location with a huge amount of background chatter. He claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse offering very low prices on iPhone, Samsung and Huawei mobile phones. I do not think it was actually Carphone warehouse, as I have never provided my details to them and I would expect they had a call centre environment that sounded a bit less like the outside of a busy London pub on a sunny evening.

Got a quote online following an advert on Facebook. Due to price decided not to take the offer & thought that’d be the end of it. BIG MISTAKE....4 calls within 5hrs & a total of 11 calls in 5 days. They sent a message asking to call them urgently, when I called them they refused to say what there company did unless I gave them my details, they said they had sent emails and letters, which I havent recived. Obviously I refused to give them any details what so ever and would advise you to do the same
This is a scam text service from fitguru and taprtronic, facilitated by your phone service provider, who will do everything they can not to block them
