Fraud
Caller pretends to be from BT alledging illegal access to your broadband. Asks you to download a website Anydesk.com. This shows you suppossedly all the users who are accessing you broadband. Then they ask you to check your bank account and lo and behold someone has taken money from your account. In the next few minutes they show you that you have been credited with a large amount of money. This is to say thank you for helping them track scammers. I believe this is a scam. I let call go to answerphone, message said they were checking 2 charges, 1 from Amazon, 1 from international banking.

SCAM CALLER they say they are calling from your internet supplier and ask you to download a new programme - ask them to tell you YOUR name if they are calling from your provider they will know your name as their customer. They have called me three times now (once at 7am this morning!) they said I'm calling from your technical team as you are having issues with your internet - just follow my instructions and ....
my terminal called this number twice for 1 hr 20 mins and cost £11 - sneaky buggers do this accidentally to everyone and I guess very few people notice and even less have the energy to complain!
